Amateur Satellite (AMSAT) Tracking

Here is a simple recipe to brew your own Amateur Satellite tracking map.

Download and configure XPlanet.
Download this sample Amateur Satellite XPlanet satfile to a working area.
Save the Celestrak Amateur Satellite Two-Line Element (TLE) Data as a text file called “amateur.tle” in your working area.
Start up Xplanet with the following minimum options:

xplanet -proj rectangular -satfile path_to_work_area/amateur
