Looking over the MC to the Extension Multiport plugged in behind:

• The lefthand port is address $BF34 / 48948
• The righthand port is address $BF30 / 48944

The directions and button are all read from the same address for each port:

• bit 0 of the port: 1=up
• bit 1 of the port: 1=down
• bit 2 of the port: 1=left
• bit 3 of the port: 1=right
• bit 4 of the port: 1=pressed
